Dog Fence Wire Layout - Just The Front

Had the whole yard secured with fences but want to make sure your dog does not run on an open gate.

A popular wire layout for those living in the urban areas and for those who have escape-proof fencing but you don't want your dog to run out into the freeway.

  1. You can use this to push your dog a little bit further away from the front fence so they do not annoy people walking by.
  2. Avoid your dog to be called Dangerous Dog or Menacing Dog. If a dog is barking and being aggressive through a front fence they can even be declared a Dangerous Dog or Menacing Dog.

NOTE:

  • A corner with 90-degree angles alters the radio signal so that it should be rounded.
  • Wire with a continuous loop that goes back to the transmitter is required.
  • If you choose to layout the wire below the ground, it is safe to bury it 1 to 3 inches under to keep from tripping over the wire or the wire get entangled and cut during gardening by the lawnmower
  • Have some wire allowance for breaks and expansion in the future
